One day, a new boy moves to their town. His name is Crusoe. After the new boy hears about Allan, he decides to challenge him in a small race. Allan agrees with the challenge. From that moment, they become rival.
They participate in every race, and the results is always different. Sometimes Allan wins and sometimes it is Crusoe's win. This situation continues until both of them grow up. People always say that both of them is the best of friends since they participate in every race competition together. However, neither Allan nor Crusoe ever say anything.
Not long after they participate in one of the biggest race, a war happens. The war has separate them. They had never seen each other for a very long time.
Destiny happens to let them meet again, but this time, they really become enemy. After war happens, in order to survive, both of them join the military. Unfortunately, they join different forces. In the war, the team which is joined by Crusoe has lost. However, with his ability, Crusoe is able to escape from Allan's military forces.
While he tries his best to escape, he realises someone is following him. However, he do not give up and run away until his injuries become worse. At the time he falls, the person who follows him since then appears. It is Allan. Allan holds him tight and carries him away. Both of them decide and agree to escape from the military and want to start a new life. They also promises each other that they will race again when everything is settled.
It takes several days to confirm that the military does not look for them anymore. That time, they already arrive at a small peaceful village. It is also when Crusoe's injuries become the worst. The kind-hearted villagers try their best to help the man, but everything they did is useless. The man cannot be saved anymore.
At his dying moments, Crusoe spends his last time with Allan. This time, he wants to be honest. He tells Allan what he feels when he races with him for the first time.
It just like he finds his new self. It is because no one ever want to become his friends because they think Crusoe like to show off when no one can beat him in a race. Same as Crusoe, Allan feels the same.
He is happy when someone challenges him for the first time ever. It is like he finds a very precious rival. A rival but also a friend. Before his last breath, Crusoe reminds Allan to fulfill their promise. Allan nods with tears rolls down from his eyes
As the time pass by, Allan participates in every race competition and also a marathons especially in international event, but this time he do not known as Allan. He runs and be known as Crusoe, as to fulfill their promise.
